Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions (the "Terms") govern access to and use of Manim Academy (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

Manim Academy is an online catalog of animated assets built with Manim, together with related lessons, challenges and community features. Any visitor may browse the catalog and interact with an asset's preview without an account. A paid subscription is required to download the underlying source code and rendered video files, and to access templates and courses and other material released from time to time.

2. Accounts

You must sign in using a Google account to create an account on the Service. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your access to it. Accounts are for use by a single individual; you may not share your account credentials or any downloaded material with any person who does not hold a valid subscription.

3. Subscription Plans and Payment

The Service is offered under the following plans:

• Pro. A recurring monthly subscription of US$19. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand, and may be cancelled at any time from your account dashboard. Access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
• Founders Club. A one-time payment of US$99 that grants lifetime access to everything included in the Pro plan, including future assets, for as long as the Service operates. The number of Founders Club seats is limited and the offer may be withdrawn at any time without notice.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Prices are stated in United States dollars and are subject to change; a price change does not affect a billing period already paid for or a Founders Club seat already purchased.

4. Cancellation; No Refunds

All purchases are final and non-refundable. A Pro subscription may be cancelled at any time to stop future billing, but amounts already charged are not refunded, and a Founders Club purchase is non-refundable under any circumstances.

5. License and Use of Downloaded Assets

Subject to an active subscription and payment of all applicable fees, Manim Academy grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the source code and video files you download in your own works, including commercial works, without attribution, and to modify them.

You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute or publish the downloaded source code or rendered files, in original or modified form, whether alone or bundled with other material, as a competing asset library, template pack or similar product, nor make them available to any person who does not hold a valid subscription.

Manim itself is third-party open source software distributed under its own license, which is not modified or superseded by these Terms.

6. User-Submitted Content

Any material you submit through challenges, community features or a leaderboard remains your property. By submitting it, you grant Manim Academy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that material on the Service and in its official channels, with attribution to you, for the purpose of operating those features.

7. Changes to the Service

Manim Academy may add, modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. References to future features are statements of intent and not a guarantee of delivery by any date. If the Service is discontinued in its entirety, holders of a Founders Club seat retain any material already downloaded.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service and all assets are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Manim Academy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Manim Academy's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to Manim Academy in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

Manim Academy may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, including by sharing your account or redistributing downloaded assets in violation of Section 5. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 5, 6, 8, 9 and 11.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

12. Changes to These Terms

Manim Academy may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent version. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
